Front Range Airport-Spaceport Colorado
Front Range Airport is one of the largest general aviation airports in the United States with 3,200 acres of land, and surrounded by 6,500 acres non-residential, master-planned industrial complex, it is considered remote, yet only 6.5 miles from the world’s 4th busiest airport DIA, making it an ideal location for a commercial spaceport. Spaceport Colorado achieved a major milestone with the passage of Senate Bill12-35, limiting liability for spaceflight activities, passing both houses with 100% support and was signed by Governor Hickenlooper, April 19, 2012 at the 28th Annual National Space Symposium, following an address by Dr. George Nield.
